Happy Faces Daycare was founded in 1990 and has since prided itself in being a small, homely and personal daycare. Truly a "Home away from Home". | Located at 13923 Braddock Road, in Centreville, Happy Faces Daycare is the recently restored historic building known as the "Hardee Chambliss House". Built just after the turn of the century, this house first served the Centreville community as a general store. Later it became the home of Bess Truman's dress maker who raised eight children in this Victorian dwelling. Its most prominent occupant was Hardee Chambliss, great grandson of the famous Confederate General William Hardee. In addition to being rich in history, the house is also rich in architectural detailing with its intricate cornice work and interior and exterior moldings, and its pine flooring and main staircase. |
