Scheduled League Activity

SportsPlex Fees. There are NO MEMBERSHIP FEES to take part in athletic activities at Frederick SportsPlex. Here’s what you pay to play in activities arranged by SportsPlex:

Roller skating: $5.00 per session, $2.00 skate rental. (Every Friday night 7pm - 10pm)

Pickup sessions for Turf Field and Rink: $6.00 per session (roller hockey, soccer, flag football and volleyball).

There is no SportsPlex membership fee to work out at SportsPlex Fitness Center by FitnessJim, which has its own schedule of fees.

   

ROLLER HOCKEY

Roller Hockey: A Youth Roller Hockey Clinic is offered throughout the year.  Please see Dave Alverez for dates and fees.

Here's a list of equipment you need in order to play roller hockey at SportsPlex: Inline hockey skates; helmet w/cage; indoor wheels; shin guards; gloves; elbow pads; stick; mouth guard; hockey pants and jersey must cover all pads. We also recommend an athletic cup for boys; an extra stick; shoulder pads; hip pads; and write your name on everything!

All the equipment you need is available at SportsPlex in Frederick Soccer Supplies shop. Speak to Raffi Tatarian and Pro Dave Alvarez, who can help you select what's right for you or your child.

Renting Rink Time is simple and reasonable. Bring your team in for practice, a scrimmage or just for fun! Contact our Sports Director at (301) 662-6866 to inquire about available rink times.


Open Skating (both in-line and 4-wheel) is available for all ages every Friday evening from 7-10 p.m.   

Youth Indoor Soccer

A new FUTSAL league is starting.  Get in on this new event before it's full

Women’s Soccer League  Frederick Women's Soccer, Inc. (FWS) promotes the development of women in soccer and offers various levels of participation from instructional to competitive league play in a structured environment. FWS is Frederick County's first and only women's soccer organization and uses Frederick SportsPlex for its indoor clinics, scrimmages and league games on Sunday nights. Adult Soccer  We offer Men's and Coed Leagues at the Frederick Sportsplex. Sessions run every 8 weeks year round.  Please contact Lance Weddle at 301-662-6866.

Lacrosse  It was a fun and successful Winter High School Lacrosse League, which played on Farmers & Mechanics Turf Arena and the Sport Court. We appreciate the assistance of leadership of Ron Hildebrand of Linganore Urbana Athletic Association (LUYAA) and congratulate all the young men and women who competed. We look forward to seeing you for tournaments and clinics before next season.

Our thanks, too, to Jeff Jones who coordinated the Middle School Lacrosse League, making it both instructional and competitive.

Field Hockey. We are currently designing more events for field hockey.  Youth and Adult leagues play every year from January - March. Tournaments and clinics are being planned for the upcoming season.  Please contact Jim Lopez at 301-662-6866

Flag Football

Adult sessions run every 8 weeks year round.  Play has been exciting and the response wonderful. Call Lance Weddle  at 301-662-6866 to get in on the next session.
