Keep Prince George's County Beautiful |
Message from the Board of Directors
|
Who cares about Prince George’s County? A growing number of us care about the environmental conditions of our educational communities, and others – though they do – appear not to care at all. |
| After all is said and done, it is safe to say that the overwhelming
majority of us do care about the environmental condition of Prince
George’s County. And that makes us all "Citizens Concerned for a
Cleaner County (CCCC)."
The CCCC Board of Directors and its Executive Director, John Neville, are enthusiastically involved in Keeping Prince George’s County Beautiful, and we want you to join us! |

| There
are several ways to get involved with us. You can start by properly
managing your personal waste materials, recycling at home and work,
teaming with others to create beautification gardens in public areas
and/or reduce roadside litter, and encouraging others to do the same.
As you read through this website you will find other ways to get involved in Keeping Prince George’s County Beautiful. You will also learn of the many services available to you from the Department of Environmental Resources and other County agencies. |
| Students are Very Important
Our students are very important to the "Keep Prince George’s County Beautiful" program. Not only are we dependent on them to teach their parents what they learn in school about properly managing waste materials and recycling, we also count on them to create beauty in public places. |

| Look again at the photo on the right. Miss Symphony
Terrell and her school mates created the beautification garden in her
background at Capitol Heights Elementary School.
This is an example of the work students are doing on school campuses all across Prince George’s County. We invite you to join Symphony and every other student in Prince George’s County schools by doing what she suggests - Keep Prince George’s County Beautiful and litter free. |

The CCCC Board of Directors gives special recognition and appreciation
to
Prince George’s County Government for the partnership it provides
CCCC through the Department of Environmental Resources.

Our administrative ability to promote the County's waste management, recycling and beautification programs is made possible through this invaluable public partnership. Our private partners, including some of you, make the educational and outreach components possible. We thank you for past support and encourage you to stay involved through clean community projects and monetary contributions. Send us a check. Your tax deductible contribution will set us closer to a countywide public awareness media campaign. |
