You are cordially invited to be our guest at The Annapolis Inn, a historic landmark townhouse optimally located in the heart of the Historic District of Annapolis. The Annapolis Inn is nestled between the Naval Academy, the City harbor and the State Capital, quietly surrounded by museums and many fine examples of the architectural diversity in our city and nationís history. Conveniently close to the excitement of sailing activities, walking and garden tours, civic and cultural events, and restaurants and shops, the Inn remains a haven from the hustle and bustle of downtown activity.
|Originally built in the 1770s, The Annapolis Inn is a classic example of Georgian and Greek Revival architecture. Alternating dark walnut and oak planked floors, rare in Annapolis, grace our spacious entrance foyer. The living room and dining room, stately salons of aristocratic status still crowned with their original ornate gilded rosette moldings, overshadow you with the feeling of opulence they were meant to bestow.|
|The large chandeliers of imported Austrian
crystal complement their elegance. Below them the marble fireplaces warm
your spirits; the tapestries, paintings, sculptures and antique
furnishings enthrall you and the Persian rugs soften your mood.
Combined, these salons create a relaxing ambiance of luxury and comfort, creating the perfect setting for reading, taking afternoon tea or coffee or conversing with friends. In the morning, the warmth of the fireplaces reaches out to you as you linger over a freshly prepared breakfast in the dining room.
|Your breakfast is enhanced by the plush comfort and allure of our antique furnishings, masterpieces of European artisans, which surround and envelop you in a lifestyle once available to only a privileged few. Your room has also been appointed to anticipate your comfort, lifestyle and privacy, creating an atmosphere of pampering elegance and spaciousness. Outside, an enclosed yard with shade trees, a beautiful garden, patio and Koi pond are also yours to enjoy, offering the peace and quiet found only in a private residence and providing the perfect retreat for private moments. Majestic is the feeling from our third floor sundeck with views of the State Capital and Naval Academy Chapel dome. Looking below at the yard and garden, perhaps you will be able to spot the Koi swimming beneath the Water Lilies in the pond. Catch a glimpse of the harbor as well or just catch a little sun. If you are looking for a relaxing place to talk, read a book or just enjoy the peace and tranquility of a bubbling fountain, The Annapolis Inn is for you.|
