| Stairs:
Most deck require some stairs. They can be simple or complex as shown here. We cover how to make stairs in a previous article, but will show you here about the handrail. Making Stairs Handrails are usually required when you reach more than 3 risers...the simple stairs to the right have 3 risers, and the ones below have 5.

Handrail construction is identical to rail construction except you cut the T posts at an angle on top to receive the top rail. Check your local building codes for handrail height requirements. |
